Happy Stinkin' Summertime

Starting tomorrow this blog is going to 3 posts per week, on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The decision to go to a thrice per week blog turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because it seems my summer plans of slacking off in the sun just got derailed. And speaking of blessings...

Friends are an enormous blessing, and in the past week or so I've been tremendously super-duper blessed with some who require a public show of blog love: Rachel who mentioned blogs can be scheduled to auto-post (Yeah, I'm slow okay?), with Dawn who supported the 3 times a week versus every single day of my life, and (last but certainly never, ever least) Michelle who is the most awesome juxtaposition of friend and boss a person could hope to have and who has always been a wonderful role model in the "chicks who kick butt" area of the business world. Hopefully I did her some justice when I had to professional and politely tell a potential client to stuff it earlier tonight.

In the past two days, the Fireman was injured during a training exercise at work, our boys went off on a camping expedition without us for the first time ever, and the basement flooded. My weekend of wine drinking and other debaucheries has turned into playing nursemaid and keeping mold from growing underneath my bedroom carpet. Stick a fork in me 'cause I am done. The good news is I drugged the fireman and he's in no pain (and may actually sleep through the night), the boys called to say they're having a lovely time without us (like, especially because they're without us...sniffle), and I already wrote tomorrow's blog post earlier in the week, after surviving the 14 Mile Yard Sale last weekend, and it's got some great tips for what not to do when you hold one of your own.

I have a ton of work to catch up on that I didn't do over the past 2 days, but think tomorrow morning I may go to a local church yard sale. There's also a free car wash. I have a bunch of loose dollar bills and change in my Yard Sale Fund and my car is in desperate need of a wash. Sounds like a win-win to me!
